I've been using AKG K141m headphones in my studio for 15 years now. The new improved 141 Studio are a logical next step for AKG. They retain the classic 141 sound (people always describe it as bringing the audio "closer" to your ears), but improve on it a bit. They've also lowered the ohms (the previous model was 600 ohms) which make these phones compatible with a wider variety of headphone sources and remote boxes, some of which could not handle 600 ohms without sounding distorted and having very low levels. My favorite new improvement is the removable cable. I can't tell you how many hours I have spent over the years soldering new jacks and cords onto my 141's, thanks to some reckless singer trying to walk away with the cord wrapped around their feet :-)January 29, 2007 Music Background: Producer, Arranger, Composer, Musician I already have ten pairs of the original K141m's, and two pairs of the new 141 Studios (I'll have three when my just-ordered pair gets here from Sweetwater). The headphones sound good. The plastic on the connection on the side of the headphone is fragile.
