Killer Guitar for the Cash

You might have to set it up once you get it. I did. But once you've done that you've got a great sounding, gig ready guitar with a wide palette of tones. The stock pickups sound great, which can't be said of a lot of guitars in this price range. The neck is killer. And the bridge may take some getting used to, but it adds that vintage vibe. For the money, it's a no-brainer.

Solid value for an entry-level Jazzmaster

I've had this guitar for a couple of months now and for the most part, I'm very happy with it. The neck pickup sounds great, it stays in tune, and it's solidly constructed. I had the intonation adjusted and replaced the .9s with .10s. It's a lot of fun to play and my other guitar was basically ignored.

My only complaint is the sound of the humbucker in the bridge. It sounds very mid-range and and I'll be replacing it with a Filtertron. The Blacktop doesn't have the extra tone controls like the Classic Player, but the Classic Player is nearly twice the price. Overall, it's a solid guitar for the money.
