This 50-watt Combo Puts out an Array of Tones!

The Marshall JVM215C all-tube 1 x 12" 50-watt amplifier brings you the full range of Marshall tone, from crisp clean to molten roar! The 2-channel JVM215C gives you six modes, covering two independent channels with three gain stages, each with its own footswitchable memory. It's a great feature for ultra-flexible onstage switching (via the included dedicated, programmable footswitch unit), plus the Marshall G-12 Vintage speaker provides great tone. Two effects loops, reverb for each channel, a speaker-emulated XLR line-out, and two footswitchable master volumes also grace the JVM215C.

Marshall JVM215C 50-watt 1 x 12" Tube Amplifier Combo at a Glance:
  • Channel switching and more
  • Silence is golden
  • Marshall heritage
  • From glassy to a roar

Channel switching and more
The JVM2 series amps don't simply give you footswitchable channels. You get an entire palette brimming with different degrees of distortion, tonality, and effects. The included 4-way switch has five easy-to-read LEDs, making this rig ready for stage use. It's also programmable, so you can set up different combinations of channel, mode (green, orange, or red), reverb level, effects level, and master volume easily. The parallel/series effects loops are also switchable on/off. Marshall made sure you'll get the most out of this amp even when you're at the front of the stage!

Silence is golden
When on standby, the JVM2's emulated XLR output is fully operational, allowing you to record in total silence - a godsend for those late night recording sessions!

Marshall heritage
Every JVM2 is made at the Marshall factory in the tonal heart of England. Time-tested, traditional methods of craftsmanship and construction are combined with the latest advances in modern manufacturing technology, ensuring world class build quality and roadworthiness. Internally, the JVM2 circuitry and layout has been kept to a minimum, ensuring the integrity of the guitar tone and an incredibly low noise floor. All this, coupled with meticulous valve selection and high tolerance, quality components adds to the all-important reliability factor that is synonymous with the Marshall legend.

From glassy to a roar
Two completely independent channels sounds fine, but this amp gives you so much more than that! Each channel features three footswitchable modes: green, orange, and red. These modes give you different voicings and levels of overdrive ranging from pristine clean to super-saturated, harmonic-drenched, sustain-for-days distorted. Of course, the beauty of this configuration is that you can easily dial in these tones and everything in between, and access them with the touch of a footswitch.

Marshall JVM215C 50-watt 1 x 12" Tube Amplifier Combo Features:
  • All-tube design including 5 x12AX7s, 2 x EL34s (50-watt), or 4 x EL34s (100-watt)
  • 2 totally independent, footswitchable channels - clean/crunch and overdrive
  • Each channel has 3 footswitchable modes - green, orange, and red
  • Each mode has switch memory (reverb on/off, effects loop on/off, master volume 1 or 2)
  • Footswitchable, studio-quality digital reverb
  • Independent reverb controls for both channels
  • 2 footswitchable master volumes
  • 2 effects loops - 1 series, and 1 parallel/series
  • Parallel/series effects loop is footswitchable on/off
  • Speaker-emulated XLR line-out
  • Programmable 4-way, 5-LED footswitch with memory capabilities
  • All switching can be done via MIDI
  • Marshall G-12 Vintage speakers
  • Made in England
  • The Marshall JVM215C packs incredible tones and footswitchable control into a monster of a compact combo amp!

    Blew me away

The tones are absolutely amazing- I have a full pedal board, an emulated Marshall Code amp for practice, and onstage play through rented Fender Twins most of the time. This JVM crushes them all - the richest, most satisfying rock tones. Will play this forever.

    Amazing little tone machine

I’ve had mine 3 years hadn’t used it much and I was on the verge of selling it as it always sounded thin and not that good, especially on clean channel. I started reading up online about this amp and I learned that these come cold biased from the factory. There are lots of videos showing how to set the bias correctly so I opened it up and checked the bias readings. Both were only 29mv per side..!! So fitted a new set of power tubes then adjusted bias on both to 35mv per side as per Marshall recommendations. Now it sounds full and huge the way a Marshall should sound. The clean channel sound is really quite something now very vintage sounding almost fender like but fatter, warmer, bigger and better. My favourite sounds are the green and orange modes on the clean channel and the orange mode on the overdrive channel. I’ve owned Fender, Mesa, Peavey, Vox and other Marshall’s and this little amp after a bit of tweaking beats them all. This really is an amp that now does everything well and is perfect for gigging. I use an Xotic EP booster up front and this really makes the clean channel just sing and pushes it a little more. The effects loops work great with everything. It’s very heavy but it’s rock solid and typical british Marshall quality.

    The best marshall ever

Ive played over 40 years both semi pro and pro. I owned 3 Marshalls over the years JCM800 when it first came out in the early 80s, JCM900 and a JCM2000 TSL all 100 watt heads with 4x12 cabs. Nowadays we have great modern PA systems. Nobody needs to carry around a 4x12 beast anymore well not unless you want to..it makes no sense. In the old days we deafened ourselves onstage whilst trying to project our sound to the back walls of venues, Thankfully today the PA does the work and onstage we play at much lower levels. This amp is all you need. Its gives all the classic Marshall amp sounds in one cool looking tiny package, the functionality of the footswitch is excellent. The reverb is not fantastic but I use an external hall of fame pedal for that. I found the stock speaker a bit thin sounding, so I put in a G1275 and it brought the sound to life with all the low end classic Marshall thump. I would like to try a vintage 30 in there also someday, but I am happy with it for now. It has great features, all the modern bells & whistles you could ever need or ask for. The red high gain mode is truly amazing. The JVM's are the best amps. Marshall got this just right and its made in the good old UK too.

Marshall JVM 50W ROCKS THE HOUSE!

I've idolized Marshall's for the last 40 years, since I first started playing guitar but this is my first. I have only had this amp for 10 days but I can already tell you I can get any and every classic Marshall sound out of this I can think of. I bought this already having a '65 Twin Reissue and a 65Amps Ventura, and a Strat, a Tele and an LP. The tone I get out of the Marshall, especially with the Les Paul, is completely addicting. I can play for HOURS just moving between modes on each channel, ENDLESS tonal choices. I'll still play the Twin and the Ventura, just maybe not for a couple more weeks haha. Seriously, buy this amp. Oh, and it is LOUD too, but with the Master Volume controls (it has 2) you can dial in your exact tone and then make that sound as loud or quiet as you want. And it's built like a tank. Seriously, quit fooling around and buy this!

What Do Our In-house Gear Experts Think?

    Jonathan Appleton

As a guitar player living with non-musicians, I needed an amp that would give me total tonal control, an effects loop, and the saturation of tubes in a reasonably sized package that I could still take out live. The JVM215C has been the perfect fit; offering a line out for recording late night ideas with headphones, even with my pedalboard plugged in! At 50 watts, I still keep up with band practices too!

There are countless "British"-style guitar amplifiers out there, but take it from the lifelong guitarists and tone connoisseurs at Sweetwater, when it comes to Marshall tone, there's nothing like the real thing. We've played them all, from vintage JTM45s and the ultra-cool Plexi reissue to modern handmade masterpieces such as the JVM410. There isn't a model among them we can't recommend with total confidence, and that includes their more affordable models too, like MG, DSL, and Code series amps. Thanks to our tight relationship with Marshall, Sweetwater's always on the cutting edge of their latest designs, custom models, and limited-edition gems. If you want iconic tone from across the pond, you want Marshall, and your Sweetwater Sales Engineer will help you find the perfect one.
