I got this little head a couple of weeks ago,and I am very impressed.1 Watt is a lot louder than you think it would be.I am playing it through a 4x12 with V30's and it has no problem pushing it.What I... read more [+] am most impressed with is the sound,it has that slightly dark old Marshall sound. They did a great job of capturing the 60's era Marshall tone.It is a little on the expensive side for what it is,but it sounds great, looks great, and you can really get that fully cranked old Marshall tone without disturbing the neighbors..I can;t wait for the 70's JMP and the 80s JCM ones. close [-]

I've never owned a Marshall amp with which I was satisfied; partly my own fault/expectations, partly the amps. This one's great. On full 1W power I can get a nice clean/slightly dirty early Who or C... read more [+]reedence, and on the low power .1 W setting I can get Hendrix, Oasis, any kind of Marshall 60s-90s non-metal grind, and it sounds like I think it should, not like some processed idea of what a Marshall should sound like. No, 1 Watt's not going to work in Wembly, but I don't play there; I play in my family room and it's great. The .1 Watt is a bit picky re guitars; lower power pu's don't produce a lot of volume, but hbs, P90s, a tele bridge or strat neck can do wonders, again ala Jimi or Noel. I put in NOS tubes to calm the hiss, and tried other speakers but the stock speaker works best. Very nice. close [-]
