From Our Research Team:An Acoustic-electric Worthy of a Rock Legend! There are a lot of reasons a rocker like Joe Satriani prefers an acoustic guitar like the Ibanez JSA5. If you normally play a solidbody, you'll be surprised at how comfortable the JSA5 is when you first pick one up. That's because the JSA's body is built similar to a jumbo's, but on a medium scale that's easier to maneuver around on. Another thing that you'll notice right away is the unique cutaway that gives you complete access to the JSA5's upper frets; there's nothing in the way when you're soloing. The JSA5's sound is powerful and clear, thanks to its mahogany back, neck, and sides, as well as its bright-sounding spruce top. Add to that a sophisticated Fishman Sonicore Pickup and Presys preamp, and you've got an acoustic-electric guitar with the range of tonal control and projection you need onstage.Ibanez JSA5 Joe Satriani Model Acoustic-electric Guitar Features at a Glance:

This is a professional instrument! It sounds so rich and delicious that it should come with a Hershey Bar! The first thing I love is its looks; Beautiful High-Glossy Black with Real Abalone inlays! Bu... read more [+]t I am also awestruck with the quality! These Grover tuning pegs feel silky smooth when you turn'm, yet they really grip the string and keep it from falling out of tune, unlike any tuning pegs I've ever had! The Fishman pre-amp is soooo sick! I didn't even know about the on-board digital tuner until after it arrived but I was pleasantly surprised! It's size is totally perfect! It's not all bulky like a jumbo and the action is more like an electric than an acoustic! It plays so nice! I just wish it had an ebony fretboard and bridge without the extra $500 on the price tag of the JSA10. Not a problem though, I'm just not a huge fan of Rosewood fretboards. The only problem that I've encountered was when I tried to open the pre-amp compartment, it felt like it was stuck and I was affraid to force it open because it felt like I was going to break it, but it was just some old battery crust making it stick. All in all though, I would recommend this guitar to any serious guitar player who is looking for a quality acoustic/electric for a reasonable price! close [-]
