The fit and finish are very nice (the result of the Fender buy-out, I hear) and, while one could argue about the merits of the pick-ups, I plugged it in and had a ball. (For reference, my main guitar is a Fender Deluxe Strat.) Very playable, very fun. I might have given 5 Stars but, if you divebomb hard, it doesn't hold tune well.
