Well, after all it is a keyboard and not a real bass guitar. I’ve literally spent days tweaking Guitar Rig, trying various compressors, twiddling the EQ’s and all sorts of Gizmo-Fizzo’s but I’ve never really nailed a bass sound that had the heart and soul of the real thing. I’m kinda leery of a ‘one box fits all’ FX plugs. However, the JJP Bass nailed it. I can hear the pick in proper proportion to the string tone. I get the bottom end and the air and it sounds real, not artificial.
