This combination resonates like no other bass thanks to a specially formulated polyester finish. Two Special Design Noiseless pickups A bass as special as the Victor Bailey Jazz Bass V deserves a special set of pickups, so Fender dropped in two Special Design Noiseless pickups with Samarium Cobalt magnets that help to deliver a sweet, warm sound that perfectly matches the instrument's good looks. Specially voiced tone circuitry        The tone shaping abilities of the Victor Bailey Jazz Bass V are enhanced by special circuitry that has been tweaked at the input stage with pre-shape, boost and EQ settings. Bass EQ is centered at 40Hz (plus/minus 12dB) while the treble EQ is centered at 8kHz (plus/minus 10dB)The mid-control is set at 500Hz with a wide-band slope for a distinctive bass sound all its own. Modern "C" shape maple neck with rosewood fingerboard Leo Fender wasn't a guitar player, so he didn't really know that guitars weren't supposed to have maple necks.
