Customer Reviewsfrom Charlottesville, VA March 1, 2013Music Background: Learning Musician Great quality, good soundThis is my first bass, and am having a great time playing it. Yeah it is a bit expensive for a 1st instrument, but I'm in it for the long haul. I figure the next bass I get will cost at least twice as much if I need another one.The neck size/shape and string action are very comfortable for my not large hands. It is great having the option of dropping down to the B string. I'm not certain how noiseless the pickups really are, as I do get some hum when I crank up my amp. A little fiddling with the pan and treble knobs can minimize the hum, and nobody is gonna hear it when we're playing that loud anyways! At almost 10 lbs, this is a very solid beast. A comfortable strap is a must. Sweetwater service is amazing, and it was great not having to worry about setting up the instrument.
