Collectable '64 Jazz Bass! Fender's Time Machine Series pays homage to specific years of classic designs. These collectibles are built to exacting specs of their respective vintages including body contours, neck shape, fingerboard radius, pickups and electronics. Original materials, tooling and production techniques are employed whenever possible to maintain the integrity of these instruments. Available in three distinct custom finish packages (New Old Stock, Closet Classic and Relic) making these instruments collector's items right out of the box! The '64 Jazz Bass conjures up images of every classic electric group one can think of. Meticulously built to replicate the original - these models feature alder bodies, maple necks with round-lam rosewood fingerboards, brown shell pickguards, and original spec pickups. Accompanied by a Brown textured vinyl case, strap, and cable. Closet Classic - As though it had been played twice and stored. A note about the finish: A bass guitar collector's dream! Imagine discovering a vintage bass guitar at a yard sale that's been stashed in a closet - it's worn a bit, yellowed with age, the finish is slightly checked with hairline finish cracks that are typical of an instrument that's been exposed to years of humidity and temperature variations.
