Customer Reviewsfrom MD, USA September 19, 2012Music Background: Pro Musician This Is Something SpecialI gig 5-6 days a week, I have gigged for 35+ years, and have owned at least 100 good guitars in my lifetime, so I speak from experience. This is a very well made j45, and the electronics definitely set it apart from the crowd.. As is the case with many great things, the evidence of greatness comes with the passage of a bit of time. I have owned this guitar for a month, and I find I don't want to use my other 12 acoustic guitars to play out. The Amulet based electronics are very transparent, with no coloration or artifacts, the EQ took a little getting used to, but it was well worth the effort, and its use quickly became seamless. I was used to Fishman, which sounds great, but less natural. Strangely, the naturalness of the Gibson electronics took a brief time to adjust my ears to, kind of in the same way one develops a taste for a fine single malt scotch after drinking Bud for years. If you acquire this superior instrument, give it a chance to become your number one live guitar, because if you do, I assure you it will. May I add that my salesperson Kent was very helpful in directing me towards this wonderful guitar.
