The new Randall ISOLATION is a revolutionary way for musicians and engineers to deliver the true sound of their instrument in a noiseless, isolated environment. Computer-aided design has enabled a "neutral" guitar or bass environment. No longer do you need to mic your cabinet and expect the soundman to hear every instrument on stage. Simply run a line from your amplifier, plug it into the ISOLATION and you're ready to go. For recording, ISOLATION lets you record your amp full out, reflecting your true tone.

The ISOLATION 12C (for guitar) features a Celestion Vintage 30 and is made of 7 ply void-free birch. Isolate your tone and take your recording and live sound to a new level.

 Music Background: pro guitar player and recording engineer
when you close the lid it quiets the sound down but what the mic picks up inside always sounds bad. dont know if its just the way an iso cab is going to sound or not. i found this other unit called th... read more [+]e dead room on the internet which i just ordered. almost the same thing but they claim it sounds a lot better then this an can use two mics and a lot cheaper close [-]
