The BurstBucker Pro adds Alnico 5 magnets to the original BurstBucker design, which captured the subtle variations in true humbucker tone thanks to historically accurate "unmatched" bobbins. Used in the bridge position, the BurstBucker Pro delivers rich, smooth low end response along with a complex, satisfying midrange crunch. These pickups sound great clean or they can be used to push your amp into overdrive for the fat, smoky sound you can only get with a humbucker. All BurstBucker Pro pickups are wax potted to minimize feedback and noise. This one comes with a gold plated pickup cover.

November 18, 2011 Music Background: Gigging Musician and Instructor These remind me of the Vintage PAF type pickups in their EQ and shape, but are hotter all around. They get aggressive easily, and can hit the front of your amp pretty hard. I had to completely restructure my amp and effect settings when I started using the LP, because these interact so differently from the stock 490R/490T set in my SG, and the DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs in my other LP and my other SG (which are also killer pups, in a more vintage way). For me, versatility is the name of the game - and these pups can do it all. If you need cleaner, roll back the guitar's volume pot a bit. close [-] Sweetwater Advice
Brian CravensMan these pickups sound great. I just had a chrome set installed in my LP Goldtop, and am absolutely blown away at how much better they sound over the stock Gibson 490r, 498t combo that was in there. The other band members noticed a much more authoritative and genuine sound immediately. I am seriously enjoying the guitar to a much greater degree. Also popular
