The Perfect Stage Monitor For Vocals! Galaxy Audio's CORE Series X amplifiers are the product of rigorous engineering and the latest advances in technology. The Class H power supply configuration utilizes four output transistors, a low voltage pair and a high voltage pair. Its low voltage transistors are active with any signal. When demand on the amp exceeds the low voltage transistors' capabilities, the high voltage transistors kick in and provide additional power. The result is an amplifier that runs cooler, weighs less, is smaller and more efficient. Built-in compressor/limiter circuitry controls the amplifier's gain, acting like a compressor on transient signals and a "brick wall" limiter on signals that continuously exceed a predetermined limit. The result is an apparent 6 dB increase in SPL without distortion. That's twice the sound pressure. SmartALIC gain management adjusts the amplifier's gain for differences between line level and mic signals, maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio of virtually any input source. Never before has so much power been packed into a complete sound system that's smaller than a shoe box and weighs only 13 pounds. The CORE PA5X140 produces a ground shaking 146 watts (at 4 ohms), enough to power its internal speaker and two Galaxy Audio HOT SPOT Personal Monitors. Its 114 dB maximum sound pressure level is louder than most systems many times its size. It features balanced 1/4-inch and XLR inputs with individual volume controls, a three band equalizer, and one of Galaxy's legendary ferro fluid cooled five-inch drivers with a 40-ounce magnet structure. A frequency response of 200 Hz to 18 kHz and 98 dB (1 watt/1 meter) sensitivity ensures incredible intelligibility and superior gain before feedback and can cut through the most extreme ambient noise levels. The PA5X140's cabinet is constructed of black, fire retardant styrene with a black cast aluminum faceplate grille. Utilizing its integral microphone stand mount, and positioned in close proximity to the performer, it's louder, more direct, and less likely to cause feedback than a conventional floor monitor. And as a one-piece PA system nothing else its size and weight can approach the PA5X140's power and volume. Features:
