From Our Research Team:

Massive Metal Tones Plus True Bypass!

The HardWire TL-2 Metal Distortion guitar pedal lets you kick on raging tones, and its true bypass means crystal clarity when it's disengaged. The pros choose pedals with true bypass because it's the only way you're going to keep your tone exactly the way you want it between your guitar and amp. The TL-2 also features high-voltage operation for improved headroom over "conventional" pedals, plus a 2-position Tight/Loose voicing switch and Level, Gain, Low, and High tone controls. Play through the TL-2 and hear how far your massive tones can go!

Serious musicians are highly selective in their guitar and amp choices. After all, it's the foundation of their tone. Adding effects to their signal chain is done judiciously. And when they turn off an effects pedal, they need to know it's not creating undesirable noise or coloring the unique character of their tone. In a true bypass pedal, the signal passes straight through the box when the effect is bypassed. When it's on it's on. When it's off it's off. All HardWire pedals feature true bypass.

With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it's not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar's pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal - normally limited to the voltage supplied by the effect's battery or power supply. HardWire pedals incorporate special circuitry that increases the operating voltage "headroom" above that of the typical pedal. As such, HardWire pedals are compatible with a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier's effects loop.

HardWire TL-2Metal Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal with True Bypass Features:
  • True hardwire bypass
  • Constant high-voltage rails
  • 2-position Tight/Loose voicing switch
  • 9V battery operation (PS200R adapter sold separately)
  • Level, Gain, Low, and High tone controls

The HardWire TL-2 gives you raging metal tones and pro-quality true bypass!

I've had a couple "metal" pedals that were one-trick-ponies. This one is not. You can dial up many different heavy tones with the eq controls. Also, the gain actually changes as you go up or do... read more [+]wn, some metal pedals you can hardly hear a difference in gain settings. "Tight" is awesome. "Loose" just makes it sound like you're using the neck pickup only. That setting is not too useful for me. close [-]
