Seven Great Reverbs Plus True Bypass in One Compact Pedal! The HardWire RV-7 Stereo Reverb guitar pedal packs seven great Lexicon reverbs in its rugged enclosure, plus, its true bypass keeps your signal pristine when it's turned off. The pros choose pedals with true bypass because it's the only way you're going to keep your tone exactly the way you want it between your guitar and amp. The RV-7 also features high-voltage operation for improved headroom over "conventional" pedals, plus controls for Level, Speed, Depth, and Chorus Type, as wells as a handy Tails On/Off switch for seamless operation when switching. Want pro reverb in a pedal? Choose the RV-7!
Serious musicians are highly selective in their guitar and amp choices. After all, it's the foundation of their tone. Adding effects to their signal chain is done judiciously. And when they turn off an effects pedal, they need to know it's not creating undesirable noise or coloring the unique character of their tone. In a true bypass pedal, the signal passes straight through the box when the effect is bypassed. When it's on it's on. When it's off it's off. All HardWire pedals feature true bypass.
With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it's not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar's pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal - normally limited to the voltage supplied by the effect's battery or power supply. HardWire pedals incorporate special circuitry that increases the operating voltage "headroom" above that of the typical pedal. As such, HardWire pedals are compatible with a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier's effects loop.

A few things about this pedal.
by Jarrett from United StatesI'm going to adress a few things here. First of all, you can choose for it to be true bypass, or you can choose to have it buffered. There is an internal switch to turn the trails effect on and off. I... read more [+]f it's off, it's true bypass. If it's on, it's buffered. I personally leave it off. That brings me to point two. If you have it on buffered (trails) mode, it will DESTROY batteries. I've never used one with this, because as a gigging musician, I can't risk it dying. With my Dunlop DC Brick, it works fine. Don't use batteries!

That being said, this pedal is great. The reverbs are natural and not wacky. They can get big, but they don't strive to. I've got spring reverb in my Hot Rod Deluxe, so I don't care about the spring setting so much, but it is good. The plate is amazing, as is the hall. I use the Reverse Reverb for a few songs live, and it's one of those nuances that when used in the right situation, makes a huge difference. The liveliness control is a must-have, because a lot of reverbs tend to get grainy at the high end. That doesn't happen with this one. With the internal voltage ramped up to 15v, I'm not sure that would happen anyway. Either way, this beats every other pedal in its class. The Boss RV-5, the TC Hall of Fame, and even - in my book at least - the EHX Cathedral. Just get it. close [-]
by Fuller from Raleigh/Durham, NCThis is a great pedal for reverb! It has way more settings than I will ever use live. The lexicon reverbs are so transparent and rich... I love it.

I am particularly impressed with the plate, room, hall and spring settings since they compliment my style of playing.
