I've had these monitors for a while now. In using them, I've noticed they are very picky about placement. I have an average sized mixing space and the speakers sounded pretty bass-shy in the mix posit... read more [+]ion. My room isn't tuned ideally, so that could make a difference. When I moved the monitors into a much larger room, they sounded a lot better. You may need to experiment with placement to get the best sound. Once I had them set, I really enjoyed using them. The midrange is quite accurate and the highs are smooth and non-fatiguing. Listening to CD's, I heard some things I hadn't noticed before. I would recommend these monitors to anyone. close [-]

Once you learn them they will translate pretty well.September 17, 2006 Music Background: Engineer/Producer Some engineers might argue that good speakers are based on a more of an accurate frequency response than the HR624 but if you are also a producer the 624's can keep your inspiration moving.
