Roland's most advanced Ivory Feel keybed
Roland gave the HPi-7F their most advanced keybed to date, the PHA III Ivory Feel keyboard. PHA stands for Progressive Hammer Action, a system of weighting the acoustic-style hammer of each key, simulating the feel of striking the appropriate gauge of string. But the hammers aren't the only genuine part of the HPi-7F's keybed. Each key includes many of the most vital mechanical parts of a real grand piano's action, including the escapement, which is responsible for the quick key recovery needed for trills and fast repeated notes.

Karaoke mode makes music fun for friends and family
You don't have to play piano to enjoy the HPi-7F. Roland equipped this magnificent instrument with a powerful karaoke engine. In karaoke mode, the HPi-7F can playback Standard MIDI Files (.SMFs) that include lyrics, displaying the lyrics across the DigiScore display.
