In fact, when you call up the HLS Channel plug-in, you're going to be tweaking a model of the Helios from the Rolling Stones' mobile truck — a model used on a number of classic recordings during the early '70s. Expect sweet saturation, in-the-mix presence, and a deliciously fat low-frequency boost. You can even expect to hear this console's unique behavior, coloration, and one-of-a-kind preamp drive. If that's not enough, Waves even modeled the Helios console's VU meter, so it's got the response and look of the original.
