The sound of the blues The slim-waisted, small-bodied 1937 LL-00 gives you the sound of the original guitar blues. From Chicago to the Delta, Memphis to San Antonio, bluesmen from everywhere played this body style during the heyday of acoustic blues. Gibson reproduced the original 1937 model right down to the glue, neck shape, and celluloid pickguard, giving you an authentic taste of what made the blues sound so great. You'll be amazed at the projection and rich tone this guitar puts out, with a complex midrange and balanced sound from low to high strings. Sit down with this guitar and you're sure to be inspired. Easy to play Another aspect of the 1937 LL-00's appeal lies in its easy playability. Players often complain of having to "fight" their acoustic guitar to get a good sound out of it, but that's just not the case with this instrument. Its 24-3/4" scale gives you easy playability from the first fret on up, and the string spacing really allows you to dig in for accurate chording and single-string articulations. If that's not an ideal recipe for blues playing, what is? Impeccable period craftsmanship Like all the handcrafted guitars built in Gibson's Bozeman, MT facility, the 1937 LL-00 is made to be played for years and sound even better over time. This model in particular boasts some special features, including a solid Adirondack spruce top, premium mahogany back and sides, a top-quality mahogany neck with a distinctive 1937 "V" shape, Madagascar rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and understated yet classy MOP dots on the neck and bridge. Reproduction 1937 white button tuners and a period-correct celluloid pickguard round out this incredible guitar. To complete the time machine experience, Gibson included a reproduction "Red Line" case with the 1937 LL-00. Gibson 1937 LL-00 Acoustic Guitar Features:
