A user-friendly,featured packed studio...

Music Background: Long time keyboardist & recording hobbyist
Despite the fact that I'm new to multi-track audio recorders,I had a reasonably easy time navigating through the recorder and had done some basic recording in a matter of hours.
I've only had t... read more [+]he Zoom for a little over 24 hours and because of all the features it has,it will be a bit of a learning curve for me,but I am off to a great start!
So far the manual has been very helpful,as well as Yuval Fuchs-for going out of his way to expedite my order-thanks again Yuval!

In all my research of multi-track recorders,I could not find a better recorder for the price.
The Zoom HD8CD turned my make-shift set-up into a full blown recording studio in one fell swoop-and I have only scratched the surface on this product!

An astounding piece of hardware that I would reccomend to anyone who is building their first complete studio. close [-]

I like it so far

I bought this thing about 2 weeks ago. This is my 1st piece of recording equiptment ever and I have to say the manual really sucks. I am such a motivated musician/artist, but I want to take the thing b... read more [+]ack simply bcos of the hard-to- read manual. Terms you would never know unless someone sat down and explained them to you. I actually thought of hiring someone to do that for me, but I said I'd suffer through it and try again. Besides the Go-awful manual, the little I did learn about this thing has allowed me to make a couple of songs. I haven't been able to use any effects(though I see there are alot).I will suffer yet another week or so and see if I can discoer how to get the same joy out of this thing as the other reviews have indicated. close [-]

Zoom HD8 DAW

by Reggie Jaggers from Bowling Green Ky.

Music Background: pro musician for 40 years, active touring.
I've had my Zoom HD8 a little over a year now and I have to say it is amazing. The only drawbacks I have had with it is the Cubase Le that came with it, it could be that I'm just not smart enough to u... read more [+]se it but I found it very confusing. And the unit is a little noisy but it more than makes up for it with it's ease of use and the results you can get out of it. The effects for guitars and mics are outstanding, I've used the bass simulator instead of buying a new bass, it's that good. I just hook up my Carvin electric guitar and use it as a bass. The effects with the vocals are endless. If you can't find what you want here then it doesn't exist. It is also very well made. close [-]
