Customer Reviewsfrom Quebec, Canada March 14, 2008 Music Background: Recording engineer (home studio) Great product for the price !!!Those who say MOTU don't work well on PC's are so wrong !!!...you just gotta know how to set your machine to record audio and some people don't know how to do that and they write bad reviews blaming it on the gear...:(I got my HD 192 for 2 years now and i love it ! Was easy to install and i had it running in no time ( just follow the instructions provided by MOTU ). I use Cubase SX on Win XP SP2 and i never had a problem so far. Some adjustments can be made in Win XP to tweak your system for audio recording, this really helps for maximum stability of your system. The quality of the converters is amazing considering the price of the unit and all the features it offers. The Cuemix software that comes with the machine is so handy and easy to use, so easy to do multiple monitor mixes !!! The only things that i don't like about it is that the fan is a bit noisy ( makes more noise than my PC...)and it can be a little disturbing in a recording environement, also, the cable connecting the HD 192 to the PCI card is not held in place by anything and can easily be pulled out, i have a rack with all my audio gear in it and just moving the rack would disconnect the cable.....nothing a little duct tape won't fix...;) I really think that this is the perfect recording system for a home studio, lots of features, sound quality is great and the price is not so bad. Highly recommended ! MOTU HD192 Core SystemPCI 24-bit/192kHz Recording Core System with 12-ch Analog XLR I/O, 2-ch AES/EBU |
