The Glitch Is Back!

In 1975, studio engineers were introduced to the world's first digital effects processor - the Eventide H910 Harmonizer. The H910 sounded like no other piece of outboard, and it went on to achieve legendary status, adding its juicy signature girth and grit to countless groundbreaking recordings by artists as diverse as David Bowie, Frank Zappa, and AC/DC. For the H910 Harmonizer Plug-in Suite, Eventide meticulously modeled the original hardware, right down to its signature pitch drift when you adjust the knobs just right. As many engineers used two mono H910 units for immersive stereo effects, the Eventide H910 Harmonizer Plug-in Suite includes both mono and stereo versions.

Secret weapon of studio engineers

A meticulous re-creation of the legendary hardware unit, the Eventide H910 Harmonizer Plug-in Suite gives you the ability to craft glitchy mechanical effects, drones, or robotic speech via delay, anti-feedback, and self-oscillation. At Sweetwater, we've found the H910's pitch-shifting ability perfect for adding subtle organic-sounding detuning to synths and slap echo to vocals. But it also lets you create precise musical intervals and perfect harmonies, ultra-fat snares, breathtaking stereo guitar soundscapes, and much more. The H910 has long been the secret weapon of studio engineers worldwide. Deploy the Eventide H910 Harmonizer Plug-in Suite on your next production, and hear what the fuss is all about.

Eventide H910 Harmonizer Plug-in Suite Features:
  • True analog modeling of highly nonlinear electronics
  • Faithfully reproduces the original unit's juicy signature girth and grit
  • Execute perfect pitch changes, and control them manually via MIDI or Anti-feedback control
  • Anti-feedback modulates pitch around unity for subtle-to-outrageous effects
  • Original hardware glitching creates delightfully unpredictable results; pitch varies
  • Great for harmonizing and double-tracking vocals or instruments
  • Delay melodies and rhythms for everything from slap echo to total feedback pandemonium
  • Craft unique, colorful drones and sound effects via self-oscillation
  • Individual control over delay outputs and wet/dry mix
  • Mix Lock lets you scroll through settings or presets while maintaining dry/wet mix
  • Keyboard/MIDI mapping lets you use MIDI for real-time control of pitch and harmonization
  • Create expansive sonic vistas with the new Envelope Follower feature
  • H910 Dual:
    • Includes 2 H910s ganged together for stunning stereo FX
    • Enables linking, unlinking, and reverse linking of left- and right-channel parameters
    • Cross feedback capability between each unit, with up to 400ms delay
    • Stereo width control sets stereo-field panning for enormous soundscapes
  • iLok account required (physical dongle not required)

910 is Cool

I have been in this business long enough to remember sing the hardware versions. This is better! Great job Eventide. I would suggest you add a "MIX" knob in future upgrade versions.

Simply Amazing

I owned a 48 track recording studio in the 80's and had racks of Lexicon, Yamaha and Roland digital effects. My only Eventide product was the DSP4000 and I had never tried the H910's. When I saw this plug in was available (I was actually searching for a DSP 4000 plug in Eventide, if you're listening) I decided (after talking to Nick, my Sweetwater sales engineer, about it) to purchase it. I'm so glad that I did. This thing is amazing. I mix a lot of pop, rock, RnB, funk and gospel music lately and having this on vocals, snare drums and even an occasional guitar or sax solo adds body, warmth and a thickness that you have to hear to believe. There's a reason that all those classic artists used this thing and now I know what that reason is. In my opinion there are three pieces that no studio should be without... A really good Lexicon reverb, Trident A-range EQ and the Eventide H910. (I do most of my work on a MacBook Pro with Logic Pro and an older MOTU 828 but you can even use this on Garageband).

AWESOME PLUG-IN

As an owner of the original hardware version I was intrigued to try this new plug-in version of the original beast. My hardware piece cost $1600 back in 1977 so this software version was A LOT less expensive.

I'm not a fan of plug-ins, I'm just an old school hardware guy but when my 35+ year old MXR Pitch Transposer died I was left without one of my favorite mixing effects, pitch shifted chorus. A month later I spotted this plug-in which was still in the introductory price mode, I watched all the Eventide promo videos and called Sweetwater to buy it. No regrets, it sounds wonderful.

As much as I'm not a fan of plug-ins I'm less a fan of iLok protection. I understand why they do it but I still don't like it. After about an hour and a half I finally got my plug-in installed and authorized. It's that great sound I've come to know and love.

Thank you Eventide and Sweetwater.
Music background: Professional Entertainer and Engineer

There are studio engineers at Sweetwater who personally remember when Eventide changed the game with their affordable digital processing. Many of us still own Eventide DSP boxes that go back decades, and we use them all the time, because they're still awesome. That's one of the reasons we're always happy to talk to customers who come to Sweetwater looking for killer hardware effects. And it's not just engineers - you'll find Eventide delays, harmonizers, and more on our pedalboards, adding shimmer and shine to our guitars. It's little wonder Sweetwater is one of the biggest Eventide dealers out there, and our relationship with Eventide continues to grow, especially as they expand into new fields like plug-ins, 500 Series gear, and Eurorack synth systems.
