I was searching the Zoom website for a software update for the H2 and I spotted this case. I ordered it from Sweetwater immediately. After I received it I quickly installed it on my H2. What a fit! I ... read more [+]tried removing the battery cover and batteries; it was fairly easy to do. I worked the front controls and it was slightly harder to work them. I removed the cover and cut the area out that covers the front controls; I reinstalled the cover and the controls were easy to use again. I believe Zoom covered the front controls of the H2 for extra protection and to make the complete silicone jacket stronger. I needed this jacket just to cover all of the corners of my H2, which it does perfectly. I would purchase it again and I recommend the Zoom Silicone Jacket for the H2. close [-]

I bought this at the same time I bought the Zoom H2 portable recorder. Sounded like a good idea at the time. This makes it difficult to use when installed on the Zooom, in my opinion. Worse, the controls/buttons it covers are already pretty well weather-protected by design without this thing, while other, more mechanical buttons and switches are left exposed to the elements, which I think would make it certainly no less vulnerable to the weather than not using this cover.
