Tones and tools! This thing is an essential practice tool. How much time do you spend waiting for downloads, etc.? Imagine honing your chops while dialing in that killer tone for your latest track, as you wait for your slow typing friend to IM you back. Then starting up your software recording suite and nailing the track. The online tracks and lessons have to be heard to be believed. Well worth it, for about half the money you'd spend on an online game!
GP Rules!!

I have had my GP for a few years now and must say that I love it. I wish I could use it with my live rig. I regret not having the $$ for the XT Live, but this thing is AWESOME for practising at home and not blowing out the neighbors. Awesome tones from this guy, and I play a Deville 2x12 live(blues fanatic). Get this, you won't ever regret it!
The future for guitarists!
by Scott from Fort Wayne, September 2005
Out of all the equipment that I have obtained over the years, the guitar port has shown me what the future may bring for guitarist. I plug into this more than my amps any more. It has a ton of great affects and preset amps. I highly recommend to anyone who likes to make home recordings. It sounds incredible!
GuitarPort Works for Me
by Ed from Portland, OR, September 2004
Only had GuitarPort a little while, but very impressed so far. It doesn't take the place of your main amp, but that's not what it's designed to do. It is simply a superb practise and learning tool. Very easy to install and use. Lots of effects to play with (which is nice because I have a limited number of pedals, and sometimes wonder what This might sound like, or That might sound like- sort of a good way to try before you buy). Amp models seem really good and it makes jamming with a pre-recorded tracks very easy. Perfect for those late night sessions with the family asleep down the hall. Tons of material for the on-line membership too (although it's fully functional without going on-line). Best $99 I've spent on my guitar so far. Make sure you get the patch from www.Line6
