Customer Reviewsfrom Independence, MO June 8, 2012Music Background: Semi-pro musician So far so goodI bought this gooseneck because I'm tired of the threads and/or the bushings on the standard mic stands wearing out and I've had to fight with several of my stand over the years with this problem. Part of the issue is some people have the bad habit of just grabbing a mic stand and immediately yanking up or down (depending on their height) without first loosening the adjustment knob on the side. This act as well as the usual overtightening of the knobs have ruined more than a few mic stands for me. So recently I thought that perhaps with goosenecks this problem would be a thing of the past. Time will tell...I haven't used these (I've bought 4 overall) for very long, but so far they've been holding up just fine. I did read somewhere someone else had posted that these goosenecks wouldn't hold up under the weight of a microphone and that has me a bit perplexed and slightly concerned. These goosenecks are working fine right now, but what if, after a year or so they start to lose their strength and ability to hold up a microphone? I guess I'll let you know if that happens. Like I said, TIME WILL TELL.
