For years, bassists relied on big speakers for big bass tone. When the SWR Goliath was introduced with 10" speakers, many players were dubious. It didn't take long for bassists to realize that smaller speakers could still put out huge tone, but with clarity and definition you simply can't get from a 12" or 15" speaker. Premium Baltic birch plywood construction
No cost-cutting particle-board construction here: the SWR Goliath bass cab is built from Baltic birch plywood. Ask enough bassists and you'll learn that solid-wood construction beats MDF in terms of durability as well as sound. Because the birch construction has a much lower resonating frequency than composite materials, the Goliath cab has a thunderous voice that doesn't get muddied by low-midrange resonance.

Built for the road
The birch plywood construction makes the SWR Goliath ready for life on the road, and the heavy-duty spring-loaded handles make it easy to move. Speaking of easy to move, a caster kit is included in case you prefer to roll your bass rig. And the distinctive silver grille doesn't just protect the custom-designed Eminence speakers - it lets those in the know that you're about to serve up sonic excellence.
