Good, sturdy case

This SKB gig rack is good for gigs where aren't traveling too much and you aren't trying to "protect" your equipment. I use it for a portable set up i have and it is perfect. I don't know if it would hold up to anything more than loading it in and out of a trailer or car though. Has plenty of rack space, and easy access. One major thing that they maybe didn't look at is the type/size of mixer you are planning to put in the top. I have a 16 channel mackie mixer and the top cover doesn't fit over the top so that it will latch on the front and the back. That really messes things up when your trying to move it a lot, could fall off.

This purchase started under a bad sign.

When I inserted the key to lock on the lid, the cheap plastic snapped. Then I learned that even if the lid is on, it can ALWAYS be removed (forget about flying with this one). The casters are huge, which I guess is good if you need heavy-duty for a heavy rack.

Just overall felt too cheaply made for the price and to protect my gear. Not for me.
