Fat sound, great mic pres, I use them for drums, Blows Mackie sound and quality away, nice feel to knobs, switches and faders. Stay away but the board is the perfect solution for those who want to blow away today's "in the box" sound. The sound is not dark, it is fat if not transparent. The EQ is great and there 10 sends per channel. Can't beat it. Very dark sounding board and a narrow stereo field. Meterbridge is input metering only so you can't use the meterbridge to mix with. I'm on my 2nd meterbridge and it still has intermittent led's all... read more [+] over the place. Quality Control seems to be a problem. Would not recommend this board for serious recording which is sad because the eq is very nice. No knowledge of mic pre's I use all outboard pre's. close [-]
