Customer Reviewsfrom Sherrill, AR July 8, 2011 Music Background: Singer, songwriter, pianist Sweet BeatsI own Motu Bmp and it is a great beat making tool. I purchase Geist 2 weeks ago and I just decided to play around with it. I must say that Geist is the easiest drum sampler that I have ever used. Slicing samples and loops is a breeze. I midi mapped my Akai MPD 24 within Geist. The step sequencer is a great feature and it makes song construction effortless. The ease of Geist allow you to focus on making music and not learning to configure the program. So, overall Geist is a great alternative to NI Maschine and Motu BPM, but don't let the plain looking gui fool you because it is a great music making tool.from Brooklyn\queens, New York December 17, 2011 Music Background: Student\hobbyist Great add on for Reaper, Pro tools, Etc.Great Plug-in for sampling\Chopping & programing drums, Pairs great with programs like reaper, Pro tools, Sonar, Etc. Easy to set-up & get started with. Comes with a decent amount of drums sounds & one-shots, But this is really works better sampling in your own sounds, If you have a decent understanding of how D.a.w.'s & step sequencers work, you should have no problem with this. Interface is simple enough to understand, Fxpansion has a whole video series on the basics. Paired with a pad controller{i use a Korg Padkontrol},Geist is a great alternative to NI Maschine and Motu BPM |
