From Our Research Team:This Versatile 5-watt Amp Is Perfect for RecordingAmpeg's GVT5-110 combo guitar amplifier gives you the look and style of Ampeg's classic '70s VT series amps in a 5-watt format that's perfect for small gigs and recording. Don't let the 5-watt power rating fool you, this amplifier puts out plenty volume. So much, in fact, that Ampeg equipped it with a dual-mode switch, so you can cut the power down to 2.5 watts for recording. What's more, Ampeg gave it a super-smooth 2-band Baxandall-style EQ, so you can sculpt your GVT5-110's tone to perfection.Ampeg GVT5-110 Combo Guitar Amplifier at a Glance:
The perfect-size amp for recording and more Why suffer pint-sized tone from a 5-watt amp? When you want an amp that sound huge at a less-than-epic volume, you can count on the Ampeg GVT5-110. Although the GVT5-110 is perfect for recording, it's great live too. Instead of blowing away smaller audiences with 30 or even 15 watts of tube tone, the GVT5-110 lets you get the breakup and saturation you need, at a volume that better suited for bars and clubs than arenas. Dual-mode power switch adds extra versatility Ampeg's GVT5-110 combo guitar amplifier is built to give you a wide range of tone and plenty of output. But for small venues and recording, 5 watts may be a bit too much. No problem! Just flip the dual-mode switch and drop the GVT5-110 down to 2.5-watts. At half the output, the GVT5-110 delivers all of the tone and drive you crave, at the volume you need. Baxandall EQ circuitry provides total tone control Here's something you just don't see on a guitar amplifier: Baxandall EQ curves. This style of EQ curve was a big hit among music producers, because it boosts and cuts frequencies in a smoother, more effective way than traditional EQ curves. When Ampeg decided to give the GVT5-110 combo guitar amplifier this kind of EQ curve, they knew what they were doing. When you start tweaking the GVT5-110's EQ, you'll be blown away by the truly massive range of great tone you can get out of this amplifier! Ampeg GVT5-110 Combo Guitar Amplifier Features:
