I wrote the unfair review asking what does this piece exactly does?, saying I did not understand this DI box... I had tried it in different settings, but not precisely at the very end... Where it is s... read more [+]upossed to be... It is a direct box after all (Oooopss)... This unit gives you the chance to fine tune your guitar tone and input, and it does respect whatever your tone is... It is Transparent... When used with the XRL output into a mixer, this think goes beyond my expectations... It is Very Good for going into the digital realm, giving you sparkly tones and overtones... I'm very sorry for what I said PRS/Waves... I do apologize big time... close [-]

Sweetwater Advice

Chris McCown
This DI does what a DI is supposed to do, and doesn't do anything a good DI shouldn't do. It doesn't color your tone, and it gives you a very neutral and clean signal to send to a mixing console, your DAW, or your favorite standalone guitar software such as Waves GTR. With the ability to use a balanced signal, and its simple controls, this is a great-sounding device for recording your native guitar tone.

It makes no sense to me to plug a guitar in an XRL input... May be that is what it does better... There is very little data on this unit in the net... It makes your guitar or rig sound too bright ... too aseptic IMHO... Again, Maybe I do not know how to milk its goods... It is supposed to enhance your passage from analog to digital, but the result is many a time unnatural... close [-]

Our Customers Say...

I can talk to my Sales Engineer about any piece of equipment, and he always steers me in the right direction. He truly knows what he's talking about, and he never tries to over-sell me on anything. If he worked in the Nashville area, I'd probably owe him about 20 dinners by now!
