GT 103 DESCRIPTION

Three Bays Of Pro Audio Storage!
Specifically designed for applications requiring multiple drives, the GT 103 can be configured with three FireWire hot-swap GT Key drives of any capacity. Using Integrity, Glyph's proprietary hot-swap technology, you can easily shuttle content to other GT Series enclosures with the 7,200 RPM GT Key. Integrity is an advanced FireWire hot-swap interface that provides greater reliability than existing hybrid ATA-to-FireWire products.

Focused on keeping your studio quiet, GT Keys incorporate sound-dampening metal in their frames. This composite metal technology absorbs drive vibration and reduces unwanted noise. Glyph's GT 103 comes standard with a three-year warranty, while GT Keys carry an additional overnight advance replacement warranty in the first year.

Built for professional audio and video applications, Glyph's GT Series solutions are designed for recording and editing. Glyph engineers understand that when you're working in a studio environment, background noise can leak into your recording. GT Series solutions are quiet because they use tri-laminate metal mounting frames wherever hard drives attach to the chassis. This is a composite metal technology that protects your recordings from unwanted noise by reducing drive vibration before it turns into unwanted sound.

 Glyph GT 103 Chassis

“Simply the best rack mounted multi bay storage solution for pro audio applications. Very versatile, strong, commercial quality. Allows a lot of versatility by using different size drives. I hve three of these in my rack and I NEVER run out of room for every studio file I've ever needed to store and run.”

Sweetwater Expert Advice

"Sometimes you don't know what you've got until it gone" is a saying I'm sure we've all heard many times, but for an audio engineer those are words of death! Glyph hard drives give me peace of mind so I don't have to worry about "will this drive work okay," because it just works! In the studio at my church, I am recording about 70GB of audio every Sunday that is later posted to video for a weekly broadcast. There is no option of failing, and for that reason I have a Glyph GT 103 with a pair of GT-Key 200GB hard drives that I depend on week after week, with NO WORRIES. The ability to remove the hard drives to transport and use in my own home studio for mixing saves me hours of moving files back and forth between each studio with rock-solid performance. 12/19/06 Just a follow-up note that I think is worth mentioning. I spent this past weekend recording a full-scale musical and concert, locked to video. I was tracking nearly 700 megabytes of audio PER MINUTE for nearly two hours over four performances, not as much as a single glitch! THIS THING ROCKS!"

"Why is an empty 3-bay chassis important? Because you can add Glyph drives to it! Sample Libraries are huge these days and can take up very large amounts of data. If you are doing home recording, film composition, session work, etc., you need the GT103. This system makes backing up easier, working with multiple projects, bands, or clients easier and you have an extra bay for all of your samples. "
