This is one of the baddest basses you could ever play. I've had mine since...since...the 90's. Before Gibson changed the color of the headstock to black. Never had any major or minor problems. Just sent it in a few months ago to have it serviced and the service tech wrote a note on my receipt and I quote "This thing rocks! This bass sounds wonderful!" I have to agree, I played mainly Gospel with this thing and she never let me down. Sounds good through my GK Backline 112, my live stack or unplugged. It's just a great sounding guitar. Give it a try, especially if you can't afford one of the high-end models, you won't be disappointed.
