Customer Reviewsfrom San Diego, CA USA May 20, 2009 Music Background: Hobbyist Musician/12 years Nice WorkstationSHIPPING:This item like all Raxxess products are manufactured on demand, so expect a delay of a few weeks in receiving your order. Mine took a lot longer, because several parts were scratched during manufacturing, but Raxxess replaced them immediately before shipping. All parts were well packaged to prevent damage. ASSEMBLY: My order didn't come with instructions, but it was very straight-forward and easy to assemble. Just remember to unscrew and remove the metal piece from the bottom of the main counter piece before attaching anything. Then attach in the following order with your countertop flipped over: 1. Side stands, 2. Back metal sheet, 3. Keyboard tray rail. This desk is very heavy when assembled, so it might take 2 people to flip right side up. Finally, attach the metal piece you originally removed to the bottom inside. This acts as a kind of shelf for your surge protectors/powerstrips. QUALITY: The first moment I unpackaged the desk I knew extreme care had been taken in creating it. The top piece is very heavy and extremely solid. It has a thick vinyl coating with makes it very smooth and durable. I actually tested the strength by laying on it and felt no flex at all (I weigh about 215 lbs.). When purchasing the optional shelves, you can place one in the center for a computer display, or two on either side of the desk for your studio monitors, NOT three, as the Raxxess website states. The shelves are too wide to fit three and are not height adjustable. Overall, I'm very pleased with the desk. It's not only strong and functional, but also very sharp looking. Highly recommended! |
