Better Sound for Studio and Stage

Clarity - get it with Auralex's GRAMMA v2 series isolation risers. You've invested time and money in finding the right gear, so take a step towards getting the clarity and definition you need, be it from your studio monitoring setup or your favorite tube guitar amplifier. Using an isolation riser decouples your sound source from its surroundings, preventing low end waves from traveling through floors and walls, muddying up your sound, and masking the frequencies essential to sonic definition. Don't second guess your gear choices, get the clarity you want by putting an Auralex GRAMMA v2 isolation riser to work for you and your sound!

The GRAMMA v2 is optimal for use onstage or in the studio under guitar and bass rigs. You get a clearer response from speakers and less low end radiating from the cabinets. It's also useful underneath floor monitors to give you more definition for vocal monitoring. No matter what you put on it, isolating sound on stage means you can keep the volume lower, so you'll have less feedback and stage noise to deal with.

Auralex GRAMMA v2 Isolation Riser Features:
  • Better mid- and low-frequency definition for clarity
  • Isolates your gear from the floor to stop low end rumbles
  • Gives you nearly total acoustic isolation for better tone
  • New easy-grab handle for easy transport
  • Road-ready carpet durable and rugged for years of use
  • Lower profile for increased stability
  • Supports most amps, speaker cabinets, subs, and monitors
In the studio or on the stage, the GRAMMA v2 is your key to getting tonal clarity!

You need this more than you know.

Some people say a bass amp should sit right on the stage because the connection to the floor will somehow amplify it. In my experience all that does is make your tone boomy and muddy, making yourself effectively harder to hear. I like isolation for how it tightens up the sound and allows me to pick out the sound of my instrument at a much lower volume. It just makes for better sound. And this one works great.
Music background: I play a lot of bass.

Great solution for decoupling from a stage or for home sub woofers

I have used GRAMMA's for years as a bassist and they are incredible! There is nothing worse than setting up your rig on an elevated stage with an open area underneath. No more booming from the sound resonating through the stage. These decouple the cabinets from the stage giving you the tone and sound you want. I purchased two of these recently for subwoofers for my theater room. They work just as great for this application. The bass is now tight with no boomy resonance from the floor. I highly recommend these if you have some issues either playing live or in your home, they reliably remove the boomy resonance of lower frequencies.

Auralex gramma V2

A very simple looking piece of gear that works very well and does what the company claims. It works very well for recording and is simple and easy to carry and use. It really shines in gigging situations where the stage and room may be less than stellar as we all know they can be in various venues. My only immediate gripe was when I picked it up by the handle and one of the screws on the handle promptly pulled out of the wood . So I took a toothpick and some glue and filled in the hole and let it set over night and screwed it back down. It's good to go ! So I still give it five stars and would definitely buy another one . And of course as usual Jared Kalish and Sweetwater provided superb service like always!! Thanks Jared !!

Little Brother to Gramma the Great

I have the larger version situated under all my main amps(Fender '65 Twin RI and a Fender Bassbreaker 30R) and this one fits my Mojotone Blackout Select Tweed combo perfectly. I even have one of these on top of my Seismic 1x12 cab with the Bassbreaker sitting on top - did this on a lark and noticed an immediate improvement in clarity/bass response from the cabinet. Don't know how or why they do what they do, but I'm glad they do it!
Music background: Guitarist in punk band Drat the Luck out of Winston-Salem, NC.

Gramma pad

Been looking at one of these for a while now for my 410 bass cabinet and was pretty skeptical at first. Just got one last night and have to say I noticed an instant difference in the punch of the low end and overall sound improvement.
