Customer Reviewsfrom Las Vegas, NV August 26, 2011Music Background: Guitar, blues band, and do it at a home studio guy Re: Gator G-Mix-L 16x22I'm very satisfied with this product. It's more than just enough to get my Tascan 2488 Neo to wherever I need to go locally. The lining and padding are excellent. The material on the outside of the case is virtually bullet proof. It's as close as one can get to buying a road case without the added expense!from Dallas, TX May 30, 2012Music Background: Rock Guitarist, Recording & Live Performance last 30 yrs. The Gator G Mix L 16x22Fits Tascam DP-24 recorder perfect. A little room left on ea. side is good for cords or Xtra foam(my custom job), gives tight fit. Seems to be REALLY rugged.. Not ur grandma's gig bag!!! Thanxfrom Cleveland, OH June 27, 2012Music Background: Pro Musician Good, but could be better....This is a nice, sturdy, well-made bag, but all it would have taken to make it a five-star bag is internal security straps like on the Gator keyboard bags. I use this for a Boss BR-1600CD mixer, and even though it protects it well, there is room inside for it to bounce around. Because of the hard drive, one must be very careful when transporting the Boss in this or any other bag without the security straps.

from Pittsburgh, PA USA April 22, 2006 Gator G-MIX-L-1622 Mixer CaseI own several Gator cases that I have purchased over time and find that they are an excellent value in a semi-rigid case. I recently purchased the GMIXL-1622 for a Tascam 2488 HD Digital Recorder. If you are looking for a case for that machine, this is the one you want. Even though the height dimension for the 2488 recorder is about 3/4in. bigger than the interior thickness of the 1622, it fits perfectly. There is a little breathing room around the recorder, but it is still well protected considering this is not a custom case. Note that this is a tapered case, and that is super for mixers and other tapered machines such as the Tascam digital recorder. Be careful not to put too much stress on the pull-tags on the zippers. The ring part of the pull-tag that encompasses the zipper slide is extremely thin. I had one break and pull off on another case, and I'm not what you would call rough on any of my equipment. I'm still trying to figure out how to replace it with something. I'm very happy that Gator sewed the exterior pouch to the bag. I have one with a removable pouch and I find that rather clumsy as it is held on by snap-clips at the top and the bottom is loose, so it flops around and makes it difficult loading into the vehicle with other equipment. All in all, Gator makes a great product for the price. |
