A Powerful General MIDI Module! The GEM GM-X General MIDI module gives you immediate access to great sounds onstage or in the studio. GM-X contains 50 modeled sounds, 72-note polyphony, an amazing amount of controllability, and some incredible, flexible effects. Its exclusive DRAKE™ processor gives you the horsepower you need to use the 247 onboard sounds effectively for recording or live applications. You can also choose two operation modes to either instantly play back MIDI programs or store and recall your customized patches for performances with the GM-X. A feature-packed module The GEM GM-X offers a ton of features and effects, including 72-note polyphony, a 64MB memory, 50 model sounds, 16 multi-timbral parts, and 99 performances. You get six different reverbs (three different rooms, three different halls), chorus, phaser, tremolo, and stereo delay effects, wah and compressor insert effects, and a 4-band parametric EQ. There's also GM-X Editor software included, so you can easily control the module via MIDI or USB. Powerful processing The exclusive DRAKE™ processor in the GM-X in combination with the 64MB of new samples provides 247 stunning, high definition sounds with 72 notes max polyphony and 16 multi-timbral parts. Two operating modes GM Mode is the default mode in which every MIDI channel matches a sound that can be recalled via MIDI program/bank changes enabling the GM-X to always be ready to perform any GM/GM2 compatible song. Performance Mode allows the storage and recall of presets (combinations of sounds, effects and their control parameters) ideally suited to professional live performance applications. Maximum control The GM-X's user interface is extremely easy to navigate, with front-panel buttons to access essential controls and functions. The rear panel features stereo audio output, aux stereo input, MIDI In/Through connections along with a USB port for a direct connection to the computer (Windows). This module is accompanied by a custom PC-based editor that allows easy control, simultaneous change, and storage of the vast number of internal parameters.
