AWESOME KICK-*** CASE!!!

After talking to very helpful Steve D.M. at Sweetwater, we agreed on a case, GK-261R, for my specific rare instrument, a clavichord (1620). The design is garanteed to never get tangled in no luggage carrier devices, and is so sturdy, nothing moves in there. The latch system (4 of them) is super strong, and one of the 4 actually can accomodate a lock (provided by you), and it is virtually impossible to just open it and fool around with your precious instrument. I highly recommend this product if you are serious about preserving your music livelyhood, i.e., your keyboard! close [-]

Poorly Built Latches

My keyboards made it across the country safely in these cases. However, the latches are poorly built and keep malfunctioning. Also, one of the velcro safety belts was ripped completely out of place ... read more [+](screws, wood, and all), during shipping. I will have to be returning it. Do not buy GK hard cases. Gator's semi-ridgid cases are good, however, for short distance transportation uses, (the hard cases are only necessary for shipping). close [-]

Great For Lightweight Keyboards

For light keyboards like Korgs Karma and TR61 it is a very solid case. But for heavier keyboards like Yamaha Motifs not so tough. After awhile the handles will break and the wheels.

I h... read more [+]ad to put my own suitcase handle located in the middle of the case, where it should have been in the first place. The wheel that broke off I replaced the rivets with good old fashioned nuts and bolts. close [-]

I bought this case for my Korg CX-3 and it served me well for about 2 years. Then the latches began to come loose and now there is only one of them left, which doesn't do such a good job of keeping m... read more [+]y keyboard in. My SKB case works much better (Triton Studio 88), and I would reccomend SKB over this case.
