I love the resonance of the instrument and the harmonics are brillant. The woodwork is nicely done (especially the neck inlays). The cut-away is very well designed and is very playable all the way up ... read more [+]the neck to the highest fret. However, the active electronics are not quite up to the level of the guitar. The battery is hard to get to (under the strings) and will quickly drain if you don't unplug it. Because I love the guitar itself I may eventually replace the pick-up system. close [-]

Sweetwater ... read more [+]set the guitar up perfectly so the playability is amazingly easy. I've owned Alvarez and Carvin (and a Madera by Guild about 30 years ago), but these pale in comparison to this instrument. Even the case is reminicient of a piece of quality 1940s era luggage. The only downside so far is the lack of user information available on the Fishman Matrix soundhole pickup, even from Fishman. Otherwise, this guitar is definitely a wise investment which I enthusiastically recommend to anyone who is searching for a quality, easy-to-play guitar that sounds incredible. close [-]
