From Our Research Team:

Traditional Guild-Build And Sound

The Guild® GAD-50 "Dreadnaught" style body as beautifully crafted with solid Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, a solid spruce top that features scalloped bracing, and then joined the one piece mahogany neck with the traditional dovetail neck joint. For other appointments on the GAD-50 we use Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. We continued the use of high quality tone woods by featuring ebony for the pearl dot inlayed bridge and strap pins, then added wood bindings, and Grover Rotomatic tuning gears. For the best in tone and intonation, Guild installed a bone nut and bone compensated saddle. For the finishing touches the GAD-50 has classic pearl fingerboard inlays and comes with a wooden arched case. The GAD-50 is a guitar worthy of representing over 50 years of fine guitar building by GuildŽ Guitars.

For the money you can not get a sweeter sounding acoustic. i testing hundreds of guitars that cost WAY more but this baby was honey from the word go. I had to have it. Bought it 5 years ago when the p... read more [+]rice was lower but it's still worth the cash if you can swing it. Put a L.R. Baggs I-beam in it and I don't ever want a different guitar or setup for as long as I live. If you want a guitar that is more open and full sounding and stays away from the thin tinny noise of most of the more expensive acoustics then try it out. I get nothing but sweet, full, recordable soul out of her. close [-]
