As a one-off instrument, Taylor paid extra attention to every nook and cranny of the Custom Grand Auditorium - and it shows! Mother-of-pearl headstock inlays match the classic look of the Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners. A stunning tree inlay adorns the ebony fretboard where the mahogany neck meets the body at the 14th fret. And the vibrant appeal of the redwood top and cocobolo back and sides is defined by the ebony body binding, which is further enhanced with fiber purfling.

The Taylor ES system was created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer Rupert Neve. Unlike standard onboard electronics, the Taylor Expression System is seamlessly integrated into the design of the Custom Grand Auditorium from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or can be set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.
