From Our Research Team:A Revolutionary 12-string Capo!Winner of Guitarist magazine's "Gold Award" in the UK, and an Acoustic Guitar magazine bronze award in the US (after only 2 months on sale), the G7th Performance capo is a completely new approach to capo design. It has none of the disadvantages of conventional capos, but instead offers enhanced performance and is simple to use. Not only that, it looks and feels great! The G7th 12-string capo is designed specifically for 12-string guitars. Features a longer arm than the standard model - for wider fingerboards - and a specially formulated rubber to apply even pressure to the octave strings. The G7th Performance capo's wrap spring clutch consists of just three elements: a fixed hub, a moving hub, and a spring whose inside diameter is just slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the two hubs. When the spring is forced over the two hubs, attempting to rotate in the direction which opens the capo wraps it down tightly on the hubs, positively engaging them. Rotation in the other direction, to tighten the G7th capo onto the strings, is not restricted. To release the capo, the control tang is moved in the direction to unwind the spring, thus releasing the clutch.

This is the best 12 String Capo that I've ever used. I had a major problem with the 1st fret. All my capos worked on the 2nd and higher. Member of Gods Time Folk Group My latest had been the steel clamp, and during Mass I could not play one of the songs that required capo 1. I had problems with all of them on the 1st strap. My guitar is a 12 string yamaha, that I bought in 1981 for about $300. A lot of money for me back then - used it for high school folk group. With this capo, I can add the additional pressure on fret 1 and less on the others. It absolutely works perfect. Support from Sweetwater was great too. close [-] Also popular
