It has none of the disadvantages of conventional capos, but instead offers enhanced performance and is simple to use. Not only that, it looks and feels great!The G7th Performance capo's wrap spring clutch consists of just three elements: a fixed hub, a moving hub, and a spring whose inside diameter is just slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the two hubs. When the spring is forced over the two hubs, attempting to rotate in the direction which opens the capo wraps it down tightly on the hubs, positively engaging them. Rotation in the other direction, to tighten the G7th capo onto the strings, is not restricted. To release the capo, the control tang is moved in the direction to unwind the spring, thus releasing the clutch.

I've been playing guitar for over forty years and always have used a capo.My biggest gripe was that I was always tweaking the tuning to make up for capo's tension.And that all capos were downright ugl... read more [+]y,cumbersome and sometimes got in the way of my fingering.I'm happy to say those days are gone.The G7th Performance Capo is a blessing.The tension is totally ajustable and mirrors the same force I use barring chords with my index finger.Therefore the guitar stays in perfect tune no matter where on the neck I place it.Its small and compact and does not get in the way at all.And because of its size I hardly notice it on the neck.The release is quick and very easy to move up and down the fretboard.I realize it is a bit more expensive than other capos but belive me its well worth it.I love this capo and I'm sure you will too. close [-]

Need an awesome easy to use capo? Get this one! I'm not a huge capo user, but I've been around long enough to use some less than ideal ones- this is the best I've ever used!

Mark MagdichThe G7th Capo is quite literally one of the best I have ever used. The design of this is quite different in that it uses a clutch system with a spring rather than just a spring. The result is no re-tuning due to less pressure on the strings - no matter the size of the fret! The design is amazing and innovative to say the least!
