Low wattage
It's no big secret that small guitar amps are often used in the studio for huge tones. Pushing just 5 watts, the G5222 is perfect for any situation where a tone of volume isn't needed, but the tone needs to be perfect. Strum gently and you get warm, round chords. Push harder and the G5222 gets mean, with tones that are ripe for searing riffs. All this tube sweetness is made possible by a 12AX7 in the preamp and a 6V6 in the power amp.
