Customer Reviewsfrom San Francisco, Ca. USA January 24, 2013Music Background: Active musician Buy this!!!Like I said in the title: Buy this, buy this, buy this!!! Honestly, I had never heard of Zoom before, I seriously missed out. If you play metal, punk, blues, garage rock, whatever, this thing covers them all beautifully. The quality and richness of the tones is amazing. As far as ease of use, I really don't know how they could have made this any simpler, short of having it read your mind. Where's the fun in that anyway, when there's so much to play with here? It's also built really sturdy with a metal and hard rubber chassis. It's great for recording, and if you're the type that doesn't switch between more than three patches in a song (like me, I keep it simple), this is perfect for live performances as well. For the price, this thing is worth every penny! BUY IT!!! from St. Thomas Virgin Islands July 18, 2012Music Background: Pro musician and recording enthusiast Very Impressed!!I've been a professional guitarist my whole life, and have had a ton of different preamps, processors, etc. I recently decided to give up on haulingaround my rack to gigs, and "go to the dark side"; a modeler with effects, in a floor pedal. Thus, I did my on-lone research, as I live in the Virgin Islands, and you can't just run out to the local music store and try stuff. I kept seeing rave reviews about the Zoom products, especially in comparison to the other, more established (you know who) amp modeling units out there. I figured I'd give it a shot, and ordered one. It's a very solid, organic sounding, easy to use pedal, and is a breeze to get the hang of. Ingenious of Zoom to condense both amp and effects parameters down to three- knob modules. In spite of that, it still seems possible to conjure nearly any tone imaginable. To be clear; the big deal with modeling is the beefiness of the processor used, and the 32 bit chip, and high grade converters used here make a huge difference, both in the harmonic content of the amp models, and in the transparency of the various effects. I even got rid of my rack for solo acoustic guitar performing, as I was able to come up with a preset that equaled, or excelled what I was getting. The extra expression pedal input is a great plus, and it really is akin to having a whole pedalboard compressed into one pedal. The PC editor is great, and makes tone-surfing and saving sounds an enjoyable experience. All that for $200.00? I'm satisfied! from Bedford Texas January 13, 2012Music Background: Novice Guitar and keyboard Player. Fantastic Unit, ZoomG2.1NUThis unit does more than the imagination can describe,Thanks to my Sweetwater salesman John I now have some fun with my guitars,With this unit I don't need a guitar with whammy bar, this does it all including Looping,If your wanting a fun Unit Buy it, it's Great. Thanks Again Sweetwater.from Missouri December 19, 2011Music Background: 20 year veteran Great effectsThis pedal is easy to use and sounds awesome. I had been using an old DT GNX3 and a tone port for PC recording, and this thing blows them away. Tweaking the effects is done by just turning some knobs rather than cycling through menus like other units. Best unit for the money. I find myself playing more than usual just because of how good it sounds.from katy, tx August 10, 2010Music Background: pro musician Killer SoundThe new Zoom G2.1Nu is a great multi effect pedal! Its got 96Khz sampling and is the only effect unit that has 96Khz sampling! USB connectivity, user friendly software interface, and comes with Cubase LE. I tried this unit with other DAWs and it worked perfectly with the drivers provided. Another cool plus is that Zoom provides a power supply! Drum machine is cool for jamming or for recording into a DAW. Bottom line a very cool unit with a very IMAX sound - try one and be amazed!
