Zoom G1 Four: More Than 60 Killer Effects with Drums and Looper

Crafting great-sounding guitar tones has never been easier, thanks to Zoom’s G1 Four multi-effects processor. Add dimension and polish to your playing with more than 60 traditional and boutique effects. Dial in everything from squeaky-clean to high-gain tones with 13 classic amplifier and cabinet models. Keep the beat with 68 built-in drum patterns while you create multi-part arrangements with a 30-second looper. The Zoom G1 Four allows you to use up to five effects simultaneously, and you can save up to 50 user-created patches for instant recall. The Zoom G1 Four includes an onboard chromatic tuner and an auxiliary input jack for jamming along with your personal music player. The value-packed Zoom G1 Four is great for practice and performance alike.

Stomp on 60 traditional and boutique effects

The Zoom G1 Four comes loaded with more than 60 traditional and boutique effects. Add dimension to your sound with delays and reverbs. Give it a polished sheen with a chorus, flanger, or phaser. Or reach for something more esoteric like a ring modulator, pitch-shifting delay, or a sitar simulation — it’s all in there. There are also 13 classic amplifier and cabinet models onboard, covering everything from squeaky-clean tranquility to high-gain anarchy. Use up to five effects simultaneously, chained together in any order. And when you’ve got everything dialed in, you can save up to 50 user-created patches on the Zoom G1 Four.

Get inspired with 68 built-in drum patterns

Metronomes are great for keeping time, but they’re not very inspiring. That’s why the Zoom G1 Four includes 68 built-in drum patterns. These great-sounding rhythms give you plenty to jam along to, boasting multiple time signatures — 4/4, 3/4, and more. When we ran the Zoom G1 Four through its paces here at Sweetwater, we found the built-in rhythm patterns to be one of our favorite features — they’re a lot of fun!

Craft multi-part arrangements with a 30-second looper

Built-in drum patterns are great for keeping the beat, but they don’t do much for harmonic context when you’re practicing. But thanks to the Zoom G1 Four’s onboard looper, you can lay down a chord progression, loop it, then play over it. You can record and loop up to 30 seconds of CD-quality audio, which is more than enough to craft dynamic multi-part arrangements. And don’t think that the usefulness of the Zoom G1 Four’s looper is limited to practice sessions — it’s an awesome performance tool too!

Love this little effects pedal

A few years ago I finally tired of buying and selling pedals, it had gotten to be a merry go round I wanted to get off of, I did after purchasing Zoom's G3n, never quite got the hang of it, too much going on for me and my behind the times tech mind, seems I messed with it as much as I did playing, not cool. This smaller and cheaper G1four has worked out much better for me, really a lot of fun and easier to navigate, there are several presets I truly like after a little tweaking, I run it through the clean channel of an excellent Bugera V22 Infinium, haven't tried it through the effects loop, don't feel any need to. My only problem is that now I'm curious about the new G2four, it never ends, ha ha. Both Zoom effects processors and the amp were purchased through Sweetwater who I highly recommend and will continue to do so.
Music background: Playing since the 60's, a few bands and for the pure love of it.

Zoom G1 Four is perfect for providing popular effects and has an improved interface

Zoom has long provided small form factor, working class multi-effects that shout value. The G1 Four is no exception. But news flash, this device sports a much improved interface to offset the large number of menus and variables. The new display and buttons remove two levels of complexity for the user, appealing to my need for simplicity. The interface software is a wonderful, Additional Improvement. So, a user can take full advantage of the range of adjustments in a visual format. The individual effects, amps and cabs are standard things, but faithful to the mainstream. This device is perfect for creating outputs that are reminiscent of hit records from the past. I run mine directly from the stereo output into a Yamaha mixer stereo channel. The mixer connects to a dual amp/speakers for good stereo separation. The Zoom G1 Four is the heart of my guitar sound for my recordings and small live gigs.

There are lots of more capable devices out there, but G1 Four is a fraction of the cost of those alternatives. FYI, I'm a semi-professional, playing mostly at church, and have been playing for decades.

Great little processor

Exactly as advertised this little box provides all the effects that I need for the price that I was looking for. It is great to be able to connect to computer for further adjusting...
This is a great starter multi-effects processor or if you just need something simple on the go...

My favorite practice tool

I bought one of these last year to use mainly as a practice amp with headphones. Love it, really like the tuner in it. I ended up buying one for a friend, he really likes his too. I bought another one to use at another location. I run mine on rechargeable batteries, it will also run off a power bank or wall transformer. Taylor Perry at Sweetwater has been great to deal with. For the money this pedal costs it is a must have, the effects sound really good.
