All the Creamback Sound, Half the Weight

NOTE: Speakers are non-returnable.

Celestion speakers are a staple of modern music. Starting in the 1960s, they helped define generations of guitar tone. The Celestion G12 Neo Creamback 12" guitar speaker delivers all of the characteristic tone that is making their Creambacks the go-to speaker for so many players, but in a design that's only half the weight. Celestion engineers have created a way to use neodymium magnets to conjure the same performance qualities that guitarists love about older designs. You still get the punch, warmth, and midrange you love, but the Neo Creamback does it without breaking your back.

Celestion G12 Neo Creamback 12" Guitar Speaker Features:
  • A 12" guitar speaker with a neodymium magnet
  • Same tone as the famed Celestion G12M Creamback
  • Only 4.2 lbs.
  • 60W power handling
  • 75Hz-5kHz
  • 8 Ohms
The light-weight G12 Neo Creambacks are going to fly off of Sweetwater shelves.

Sorry, we cannot take returns on speakers.

Two thumbs up

Put this speaker in a 5 watt combo amp and it brought the amp to life. Sounds so much better. Even pedals sound better through the amp now. The speaker also shaved a few pounds off the amps total weight. It's crazy how light the speaker feels compared to my old one.

Fender Deluxe Reverb Tone Master speaker swap

I got this speaker to swap out the jensen speaker in my tone master, easy swap and fit perfect. Sounds better all around to me, i also did the firmware update to the blonde spec.

Nice for 412 Marshall Top

I threw 2 of these in an old marshall 196a to lighten it up. It took about 2 months of casual playing to break in and start meshing with the g1275s on the bottom, but now it sounds amazing and it a breeze to move around.

Highly recommended!

Great speaker and very lightweight

I bought this speaker to swap into a Boss Nextone Artist solid state amp. I use the amp as a lightweight combo option to bring to gigs with tough load-ins or small stages. (If those things aren't a factor, I use a tube-based head/cab.) My primary objectives were to upgrade the sound I was getting from Boss's stock speaker and to keep the amp as lightweight as possible, since that's a major reason I use it.

The Celestion G12 Neo Creamback has succeeded in both these objectives. I got it about 2 weeks ago, immediately installed it (easy) and spent a couple hours at home breaking it in based on Celestion's recommendations, which you can find on their website. I then used the amp on back-to-back gigs this past weekend, and both nights got complements on my "tone" from musicians who were in the audience. Also got a compliment from the sound guy... and those folks can be hard to please, LOL.

So yes, I can definitely endorse this speaker, which is very lightweight and versatile across many genres. And FWIW, I can also endorse the Boss Nextone series. It's not as well known as the Katana series, which offers more built-in effects that I candidly don't care about. The Nextone series is all about getting as close as possible to true tube amp sounds. If you do what I did -- get a Nextone Artist and swap in this speaker -- I think you're going to be very happy.
