Customer Reviewsfrom Imdianapolis In USA June 28, 2012Music Background: Professional musician The best of many basses in one package!!!I have been a bassist for nearly twenty five years and have owned about every bass under the sun. My journey has taken me from bargain level to botique, and I have to say this bass has all the classic single coil tones we grew up listening to in rock(think fender p n jazz) to the latest slap n tap singing sustained bass tones and everything in between. You can play truly passive and kick in the active electronics to sculpt virtually any sound imagineable. The body definitely looks untraditional, but once you put it in your lap or strap it on, it is more comfortable than any bass I have tried, and it is weighted so there is zero neck dive. You actually can use your hand to fret notes versus holding the neck from dropping. Do yourself a favor if you like the stock action and raise the pickups until they are just close enough where the vibrating strings don't buzz on them...they REALLY come to life from the stock setup. I will be selling a few of my basses now that this is truly my "go to " bass for any genre or style.from SJO, Costa Rica.
