Reid needs an instrument that can handle his eclectic playing style, so he and Parker put their heads together to develop the technology-packed Vernon Reid Signature. Delivering everything from straight-out rocking via EMG single-coil and humbucking pickups to unbelievable MIDI-generated tones, the Parker Vernon Reid Signature is an axe for the sonically adventurous player.

One of the premier features onboard the Parker Vernon Reid Signature is its Roland GK pickup kit, so you can tap into Roland's world of guitar synthesized tones. With it, you can call up alternate tunings in the middle of a song - set it up so you've got a bass sound on your 5th and 6th strings and a nylon-string sound on first and second strings - or play through an entire virtual amp rig. It's exciting technology for the tone-loving guitar player - and a system that opens up a nearly endless hall of tonal doors.

Parker's signature design and construction are evident in the Vernon Reid Signature. The 1-piece poplar body is perfectly matched to a basswood neck with Parker's patented neck-through design. The carbon finger board makes the neck very resistant to bowing and twisting, provides a fast playing surface, and still has the feel of wood. The Vernon Reid Signature Fly Deluxe also features Parker's thin glass/carbon exoskeleton to produce an amazingly lightweight, but full-sounding, guitar.
